Fierst, Pucci, Kane Fierst, Pucci, Kane
history

Established in 1980 as Fierst & Neiman,
the firm started as a general practice. In the
late 1980s, the firm began its vibrant
entertainment practice by undertaking the
representation of the creators of the Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles. In the 1990s, the firm
developed an outstanding reputation
in the entertainment and licensing industries
through Fred Fierst’s representation of several
other high profile entertainment clients.
Ken Neiman left the firm to become a
United States Magistrate Judge in 1994,
whereupon the firm took the name of
Fierst & Pucci LLP with the addition of
John Pucci who brought to the firm a strong
background in civil and criminal litigation.
The firm’s reputation for excellence in
litigation was strengthened with the addition
of Jeff Kinder in 1999. The firm name was
changed to Fierst, Pucci & Kinder LLP
in 2002. Jonathan J. Kane became of-counsel
to the firm in 2001, and became a partner
in 2005. J. Lizette Richards joined as a litigation
associate in 2004. Hun Ohm joined as a
transactional and intellectual property associate
in 2006, the same year Jeff Kinder left the firm
to accept a Massachusetts Superior Court judge-
ship. Amanda Schreyer joined the firm as a
transactional and intellectual property associate
in December 2006. As of January 1, 2007,
the firm became known as Fierst, Pucci & Kane LLP.
The firm’s newest associate, Katherine von
Schoeler, joined the firm in May 2008.
